Club to go ahead with the purchase of a rowing machine to aid the training of the members. The rowing machine is being bought primarily with club funds, but throughout the year does need to fundraised for.

In Focus: Charlotte Roberts
Charlotte has been rowing with the club for 19 years. She has been competing competitively for 14 years in the Ladies A crew and recently has been coxing the Men's A. In this time she has picked up both a second and three third places the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly. As well as her devotion to rowing, she also handles all the club membership and communications. Outside of rowing she plays netball for Penzance ladies 1st team. She also enjoys running, cycling and after all that, some well deserved sleep!
I would like to add the whole thing needs to be fundraised for, it is not been paid for from club funds at all, although initially the club will write the cheque so to speak. We need to raise an additional £400-£450 as well as raising money for new oars. Bascially if we want new, decent equipment, the membership need to put in the effort and raise the cash.
So please if you have any ideas put them into action! Don’t wait for someone else!
Maybe everyone should make a contribution of about £10 a year for the use of the gym and it’s equipment. We all (most) use it, and if you were to join a gym in town, you would be paying a substantial amount more than you do to use ours.. Only a suggestion.. Sort of like a gym membership.
